Your tasks may include, in addition to conventional X-ray examinations, computed tomography examinations, magnetic resonance imaging, mammograms, angiography, contrast agent and ultrasound examinations, as well as procedures performed with different modalities. Your work tasks may also be located in the field of nuclear medicine. Depending on the workplace, your work shifts can be implemented in one, two or three shifts. We primarily offer you full-time work, but we will also take into account your wishes to work part-time, if possible.

The following requirements are a must:

You are a licenced radiographer, and your degree is from within EU / EEA area

HUS also requires vaccination protection against infectious diseases in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act from persons working in customer and patient premises, and a health certificate for tuberculosis from persons working in health care units.

START SALARY
as a radiographer in training.


Salary quoted gross, i.e. BEFORE taxes and social contributions as a starting salary with no previous years of acceptable service, in accordance with the Collective Agreement of Social and Health  (SOTE agreement). 

Finnish radiographer licensing may increase the monthly salary according to the Collective Agreement for Social and Health Care Personnel (SOTE agreement).

Evening work is paid as 15% extra on the job-specific monthly salary. Night work is paid as 40% extra on the job-specific monthly salary.






The salary for the position is determined according to the Collective Agreement for Social and Health Care Personnel (SOTE Agreement). The job-specific salary for a radiographer is 2,801.42€ per monthThis is the gross salary before taxes and social security contributionsThis salary is paid as a minimum salary without shift work after you have obtained a Finnish rdiographer license. 

The service years increase is 3% from the task-specific salary with 5 years of acceptable service in accordance with the Collective Agreement for Social and Health Care Personnel (SOTE Agreement).

The service years increase is 8% from the task-specific salary
with 10 years of acceptable service in accordance with the Collective Agreement for Social and Health Care Personnel (SOTE Agreement).

HUS has also performance-based pay, which offers the opportunity to significantly increase your monthly earnings. 
 

Working in Finland includes:

Contract

full-time, fixed position of 2 years with 38 hours 15 minutes per week working time. It is possible to apply for a full-time, permanent positions once you have finalized your induction period and have been granted your Finnish license to practice. 

Prior to licencing

A basic monthly, full-time salary of radiographer in training (2626,19€/month before taxes & social contributions) prior to reaching your licenced status and when working in Finland.

After recognition

After recognition of qualifications, a basic monthly salary starting from 2801,42€/ month before taxes & social constibutions (*please, see above).

E-pass benefit card

Qualifications

A bachelors level  degree as radiographer from an EU/EEA - area educational institution (2005/36/EU; level EQF 6).

Records

A clean Criminal Record (& if available a Record of Good Standing) as required by the Finnish Law.

Experience

Good to have 3 years of previous work experience as a radiographer from within the EU/EEA. 

Attitude

An independent & responsible attitude, with good communication & team working skills.

Commitment to training

Commitment to a free-of-charge language training program, and to study a minimum 20 hrs per week in order to reach a B1 level of Finnish language at the end of the training. In addition, It is expected that further training or an adjustment period after arrival to Finland in regards the recognition process will be required by the Finnish regulatory authority, Valvira, in order to receive a licensed status. Further details and support will be given througout the process. 

Commitment to relocation

Commitment to relocating and starting work in Finland after reaching your target in language training.

Considered as a plus

 fluent English language skills. Intermediate English language skills are required.
