This salary is paid as a minimum, without shift work, after you have received your Finnish license to practice your profession as a nurse.
Shift work (bank holidays and inconvenient hours) will be paid in accordance to the amount of such hours worked, increasing the monthly salary with approximately 20%, bringing the salary

Geriatric & Palliative care
Ward J12, a palliative care unit; ward J20, an assessment and rehabilitation unit of memory disorders; wards J21 & J22, the acute general medicine and geriatrics units, ward J31, a wound and infection unit as well as ward J32 general medicine and geriatrics unit are looking for nurses that are:
Interested in geriatric patient (often very complex patients, having several diseases, needing specialized geriatric attention)

Patients come from various units of primary and specialized health care, service housing units, and home. The assessment of patients' need for care is made in collaboration with multiple professionals. This work is usually shiftwork and it might require some extent of physical work as there might be patients who need help to mobilize and their everyday tasks during this acute face of their illness.

Geriatric, Neurological, Orthopedic, Palliative & General Medicinal care
The ward 11K treats primarily acute geriatric and general medicine patients, as well as patients requiring neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation. The ward 11B treats primarily acute geriatric and general medicine patients, palliative care (B-level) patients, and patients coming for emptying.
Patients come to the units primarily from the different specialized care departments of the Päijät-Häme Central Hospital, the emergency department. The unit also acts as a support unit for B-level palliative care patients. Patients are also directed to the units for red blood cell transfusions. In addition, the units treat patients requiring inpatient follow-up for bowel emptying. Bowel emptying patients are directed from primary care.
The work on a general medicine/geriatrics ward is monitoring the patients progress and their vital functions, taking care of medication, rehabilitation and educating patients and family members about the disease/condition. This work is usually shiftwork and it might require some extent of physical work as there might be patients who need help to mobilize and their everyday tasks during this acute face of their illness

Patients withfractures & memory disorders as well as palliative care
Patients come to the wards primarily from the different specialized care departments of the Päijät-Häme Central Hospital and the emergency department. Patients often arrive due to a decline in general condition, infections, and falls. The most common diagnoses of patients are various inflammatory diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and respiratory diseases.
The unit also acts as a support unit for basic level (A-level) palliative care patients. The unit also treats outpatient infusions and red blood cell transfusions. In addition, the unit treats patients requiring bowel emptying who are going for a colonoscopy in specialized care and bowel emptying is not possible at home. The average length of a treatment is 17 days.
In the Orimattila wards you can specialize in the following: 1) Palliative care / care for palliative patients; 2) Care for patients with fractures; and 3) Care for patients with memory disorders.

Contract
A full-time, permanent position with 38 hours 15 minutes per week working time
Prior to licencing
A basic monthly, full-time salary of a carer ( 2040,15 €/month before taxes & social contributions) prior to reaching your licenced status and when working in Finland.
After recognition
After recognition of qualifications, a basic monthly salary starting from 2689,83€/ month before taxes & social constibutions (*please, see above).
Additional compensation
for inconvenient working hours (evenings, weekends, nights, holidays & overtime) and vacation time which are paid on top of the basic monthly salary if and when applicable. Part of the holiday bonus is tradable for additional vacation days.
Vacations
Minimum 28 days per year starting after the first full working year acting as basis for calculations.

A Barchelors or Masters level degree from Nursing from an EU/EEA - area educational institution (2005/36/EU) and Registered Nursing -status
