This is an outpatient position in the field of family medicine, where you will treat and consult patients of all ages and stages of life. The recruiting healthcare centers also carry a rural care mandate, meaning you may be the first point of contact for urgent or complex medical cases. This results in a varied and professionally rewarding workday, where your full range of skills is both needed and continuously developed..

You will be part of a close-knit, collaborative team and have opportunities to supervise and mentor junior doctors. Regular engagement in improvement and development work is encouraged, with strong support from management. The team may include district nurses, nurse assistants, medical secretaries, psychologists, and physiotherapists — all working together to deliver patient-centered care.

The offer:

  • Permanent contract with 40 hours per week working time. Working hours usually Monday through Friday.

  • Starting salary from 84 500 SEK gross (approx. 7 500 €). The final amount will be determined individually based on your skills and experience.  

  • Compensation for inconvenient working hours (for example overtime) which are paid on top of the basic monthly salary.

  • At least 25 vacation days, and as a newly employed, you have paid vacation accrued from day one.

As a person you are:

  • Organized and take initiative at work

  • Team player - At the healthcare centers you will work in teams with specialist nurses, assistant nurses, medical secretaries. psychologists, physiotherapists.


We expect you to have:

A license to practice your profession within the field of medicine as s a specialized doctor in family medicine or general medicine, and this license to be granted to you by European Union country officials.

• A minimum of one (1) year of experience practicing your profession after finalizing your specialization.

Commitment to the free-of-charge language training provided in your home country with a goal to reach a C1 leve of the target language (Swedish) at the end of the training.
