Join a team of doctors at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, with your base placement in Borås at Southern Älvsborg Hospital (SÄS). In Borås, you'll experience quick decision-making processes, a high level of expertise, and the opportunity to combine a wide range of diagnostic skills in pathology with potential subspecialization. As a pathologist, you'll be part of a team of over 60 colleagues in the region. Currently, in Borås, there are 5 specialized senior pathologists, two doctors in specialty training, and a section chief who is also a pathologist.

The position focuses on general pathology. However, if you already have a subspecialization or are interested in acquiring one, the hospital will find suitable arrangements. The employer's aim is to build upon the high-quality diagnostics conducted in collaboration with a well-functioning laboratory in Borås and other colleagues in the region, giving you significant opportunities to influence the operations here.

The Offer:

  • Language training with financial support before you relocate.

  • A permanent position with 40 hours per week working time

  • A monthly salary, with the basic monthly salary starting from 73 000 SEK (approx. 6 300€) gross. The final salary level will be determined individually based on your skills and work experience and granted once you have a license to work as a doctor in your area of specialty.

We expect you to have:

A license to practice your profession within the field of medicine as a specialized doctor, and this license to be granted to you by European Union country officials.

You to commit to the free-of-charge language training provided in your home country with a goal to reach a minimum of B2 level of the target language (Swedish) at the end of the training. You will continue to reach the language level C1 after your arrived into Sweden.
