The Department of Neuroradiology at Sahlgrenska University Hospital is one of Sweden's largest and most specialized, performing approximately 34,000 diagnostic examinations annually. The unit is a regional leader in stroke care, advanced trauma care, neurosurgery, and other neurological interventions. The department is continuously evolving, particularly in the fields of MRI and intracranial PET/CT diagnostics, and offers excellent opportunities for scientific research. It provides a dynamic and supportive work environment with strong prospects for professional development and participation in multidisciplinary care teams. Equipped with state-of-the-art imaging technology, the department conducts both diagnostic and interventional procedures, including CT scans of the head and neck, contrast-enhanced examinations of the brain’s blood vessels, and MRI scans.
Sahlgrenska University Hospital is currently seeking a board-certified diagnostic neuroradiologist with experience in diagnosing both acute and chronic conditions affecting the central and peripheral nervous systems, as well as the ear, nose, and throat (ENT) region. The role includes clinical duties, participation in on-call rotations, involvement in multidisciplinary team conferences, and contributing to the teaching of medical students—a shared responsibility among all physicians in the department..
Positions are open for radiologists who are subspecialised in diagnostic neuroradiology.
The employer offers:

A permanent position with 40 hours per week working time
A monthly salary, with the base starting at approximately €6000. The final amount will be determined individually based on your skills and professional experience and will be confirmed once you obtain a license to practice as a doctor in your specialty.

- Able to adapt to a range of communication styles with colleagues and in meeting with different professionals, patients and relatives.
We expect you to have:
• A license to practice your profession as a specialized doctor within the field of medicine, granted by the authorities of a European Union country.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience practicing your profession after finalizing your specialization.
• A commitment to participate in free-of-charge language training provided in your home country with a goal to reach a minimum of B2 level of the target language (Swedish) at the end of the training. After your arrival in Sweden, you will continue studying to reach a C1 level.
